SOS #165: Chipping Away

It's Tuesday, and time for a new challenge. This week our theme is Chipping Away, and we'd like you to use chipboard on your project. Oh, come on, you know you have a stash of chipboard shapes. Got some old Basic Grey collections? How about some goodies from a scrap kit? Did you stock up on all those cute bird or butterfly sets? Got a stash of Inchies or Twinchies? No? Well, then, another option is to make your own chipboard elements by die-cutting a cereal box or some crafty packaging. You know, that cardboard that comes in everything we collect? Yeah, that stuff.

So, here's what our gals have made to hopefully inspire you:

Chris
I used a chipboard spider sticker on my card.

Donna
The circle, star and pieces under the "wishful winter" are chipboard pieces
covered in design paper

Alica
I die cut the feathers from cereal box and
then glued matching stamped images on top of them.
Jessi
I trimmed down a banner piece of chipboard to make a party hat for the grumpy cat :)
Chana
The Tag Base, Sentiment die cut and id tag on the back are all chipboard
that was colored with TH Distress Inks.

Lauren
The frame started out as naked chipboard which i painted white
and adorned with bits of a vintage gold foil doily to make a sort of filigree effect.
Leslie
I die-cut the circle trio from some packaging cardboard backing, then painted it.

Now it's YOUR turn. Go into your stash and dig out some old (or new) chipboard stuff and use it on a project. Or make your own chipboard elements by using old cardboard packaging. Then come back and link us up below so we can come see what you've made!

Mr Linky will be open until Monday, August 25th, at 11:55 pm EDT. To be eligible for our Saturday Shout-out, please limit your total number of challenges to 13, including ours.
